Ten-day earnings of three Nepali films released together made public

Among three Nepali films released together on Asoj 2, 'Jhingedau 2' has taken a clear lead at the box office.

The Film Development Board made public on Monday the ten-day business figures up to Sunday, Asoj 11. According to the board, 'Jhingedau 2' has earned about Rs 13.4 million in total.

It has sold nearly 44,000 tickets and has become the only one of the three films to cross Rs 10 million. 'Karki Sainla', starring Jitu Nepal in the lead role and directed by Rajendra Basnet, earned about Rs 578,000 in the same period, with about 1,700 tickets sold.

'Maya Bascha Ki Ke Ho', directed by Raju Adhikari, has earned a limited Rs 23,600, with fewer than a hundred tickets sold according to the board's data. Based on the love, dedication and disagreements of young men and women who have gone abroad for study and work, the film features Sonal, Kasmata, Narendra Thapa, Upendra Thapa, Beni Dhungana and Tara Sharma, among others, in the cast.

Among other films, 'Gauthali' has earned nearly Rs 260 million and 'Pension Patta' nearly Rs 70 million so far.
