Farmers walk 36 days from Mugu to sell sheep and goats, reach Myagdi worried about the market

Four farmers, including Sanjay Bik, who set out from Mugu to sell sheep and goats for Dashain, reached Galeshwar in Myagdi on Friday evening after a grueling 36-day walk.
Highland farmers bringing sheep and goats to sell for Dashain have run into trouble because of bad weather, snowfall and blocked roads. Farmers who brought their animals from Mugu and Dolpa said they have been delayed in getting to the market on time.
The long trek on foot, snowfall, floods and landslides, and road blockages have disrupted the farmers' plans. With the risk of being unable to reach the market on time, they fear losing the chance to sell their animals.
The farmers are also worried that transport and travel costs along the way will cut into their earnings.
