Koshi Province Assembly's ninth session ends, operating rules passed after four years

The ongoing ninth session of the Koshi Province Assembly ended from midnight Saturday. The Office of the Province Chief announced the matter in a press release.
Province Chief Parshuram Khapung ended the session on the recommendation of the provincial Council of Ministers, under Article 183(2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
Before the session ended, the Province Assembly meeting held on Saturday passed the 'Province Assembly Operation Rules.' The rules, which govern the functioning of the Province Assembly, were passed only four years after the start of the assembly's second term.
Article 183(2) of the constitution empowers the province chief to end a session of the Province Assembly. The Office of the Koshi Province Chief said the ninth session was ended under this provision.
