About 152 Nepalis donated blood at a drive organized by the Pravasi Nepali Manch in Qatar, according to organizers.

The donors went to Qatar's Hamad Hospital to give blood as an act of humanitarian service. Organizers claimed this was the highest turnout yet among blood donation programs held by the Nepali community in Qatar.

The forum said blood donation drives in Qatar's Nepali community have continued since 1996, and that this turnout marks a notable achievement in that history.

Chanak Pokharel, secretary of the Pravasi Nepali Manch International Committee, thanked the donors, volunteers, organizers and supporters, saying the success belonged not to any single organization but to all Nepalis in Qatar collectively.

Pokharel said the drive strengthened a sense of mutual cooperation and social responsibility within the community, and that such campaigns inspire people to serve humanity regardless of caste, religion, language or political belief. He urged that such social programs continue.

He also expressed gratitude to the chairman, secretary, officials and supporting organizations of the Manch's Qatar national committee for making the event a success. The forum said the program sent a message that Nepalis working abroad remain active in social service, and that it aims to make future blood donation and social support programs even more effective.
