Efforts launched to find Licchavi-era Kali Bhairav idol stolen 28 years ago

Local representatives have started efforts to find a rare Licchavi-era Kali Bhairav idol that was stolen 28 years ago from Uttar Gaya Dham in Ward 4 of Gokarna Municipality.
Local representatives and stakeholders have urged the team of the programme "Hidden History: The Search for Truth", which airs every Tuesday on Image Channel, to take initiative in searching for the idol.
The programme's team, including presenter Yadavlal Kayastha, had visited Uttar Gaya Dham while searching for the idol. After learning of the team's visit, the municipality's mayor and deputy mayor, the chairperson and members of Ward 4, local residents and heritage lovers gathered there.
Presenter Kayastha has pledged to hold discussions and make inquiries with the concerned agencies and stakeholders, and to try to bring the idol back as soon as possible.
Local residents and heritage lovers have expressed hope that the idol, missing for a long time, will be found again.
