Shiv Pariyar and Samiksha Adhikari begin Dashain-Tihar US tour

Singers Shiv Pariyar and Samiksha Adhikari have launched a tour with musical performances in about a dozen cities in the United States on the occasion of Dashain.

The series, named 'Dashain Tihar Dhamaka USA Tour', will be held in cities from the eastern to the western parts of the United States. The tour is organised by Three-E Entertainment, based in Virginia, and is expected to last about one and a half months.

Both artists are reported to have arrived in the US on P-3 category visas. As part of the tour, they have already performed in Akron on Friday, 2 October, and in Columbus on Saturday, 3 October. Today, Sunday, both artists are scheduled to perform in New York City.

The tour had been in preparation for a year. After flooding in Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa caused major damage, it was decided to set aside the money raised from the tour for flood victims. Following an initiative by the organisation's chairman, Suresh Sapkota, up to US$500 collected from the tour will be sent to the Prime Minister's Natural Calamity Relief Fund.
