Monsoon withdraws from western Nepal, including Sudurpashchim and Karnali

The monsoon has begun to withdraw gradually from Nepal this year. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, by Saturday the monsoon had withdrawn from the western part of Lumbini Province, including Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces.
Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari of the department said that since Saturday the monsoon has withdrawn from the western region of Nepal. As a result, the influence of the monsoon system has ended in the western part of the country.
The department said the monsoon winds are weakening in the rest of the country as well. It said the monsoon is therefore expected to withdraw from those areas within a few days.
The department said that although the monsoon has withdrawn from the western areas, it will take a few more days for it to withdraw completely from the remaining areas.
