Energy minister Shrestha inspects Kulekhani dam, says it is currently risk-free

Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Birajbhakta Shrestha carried out an on-site inspection of the dam of the Kulekhani Hydropower Project in Makwanpur. He said the dam is currently free of risk.

Minister Shrestha visited the project site to assess the condition of the dam after heavy rainfall from Asoj 8 to 12. Continuous rain in recent days had affected various hydropower projects across the country.

After the inspection, Minister Shrestha said the Kulekhani dam is safe and its condition is normal.

According to Minister Shrestha, the Kulekhani dam poses no risk for now.
