The final trial of the zipline and sky cycling built for adventure tourism in Resunga, Gulmi, has been successful. According to Resunga Municipality, preparations to operate these structures have been completed with the trial.

The municipality built a 568-metre zipline and a 110-metre sky cycling course at Garjur under its own project. Around 40 people took part in the trial and experienced both services.

Participant Laxmi Khanal said it took nearly 58 seconds to cross the zipline and that the journey was smooth. Another participant, Prakash Bhalami, expressed happiness that the service was about to begin, though late.

Mayor Khildhwaj Panthi said the service was launched with a priority on promoting tourism, and that it would increase tourist arrivals. Administrative officer Binod Marasini said regular service will begin within a week and that, for now, the municipality itself will manage it. The fee has been set at Rs 600 for the zipline and Rs 400 for sky cycling.

Khanal Infra Pvt Ltd began construction under an agreement worth about Rs 12.5 million. The project had remained stalled for a long time for various reasons, and the contractor's payment had also been withheld while the trial was pending.

Resunga, at an altitude of about 2,300 metres, offers views of the Himalayan range, including Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri.
