More than 600 perform Pinda Daan at Pashupati on first day of Sohra Shraddha

More than 600 devotees performed Shraddha, Tarpan and Pinda Daan at the Pashupatinath area on Sunday, the first day of Sohra Shraddha.

Despite continuous rain since early morning, devotees arrived at the Pashupatinath temple premises to perform Shraddha in memory of their deceased ancestors.

There is a tradition of performing Shraddha, Tarpan and Pinda Daan in memory of deceased ancestors during Sohra Shraddha. Despite the rain, a large number of devotees arrived at the Pashupati area on the very first day.

Continuous rainfall over the past four days had disrupted daily life across the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. However, the weather in the valley began to clear from Sunday afternoon.
