Bijay Baral's 'Zero Degree' with a new look to release on Magh 15

The dark comedy film 'Zero Degree,' starring actor Bijay Baral in the lead role, is set to release in theaters nationwide from Magh 15.

The production team behind the film, made under the banner of Meghauli Films, unveiled a new poster on Tuesday and announced the release date. The date falls on January 29, 2027.

In the poster, Baral appears as a character named 'Punya Chaulagain,' sporting a thick mustache, a Dhaka topi and glasses, dressed in traditional attire and riding a white horse. The poster also includes a satirical scene featuring two wings.

The story centers on the upheaval and comic situations that arise when villagers in a remote settlement without road access carry a 'deep freeze' uphill, keeping it until their children abroad return home. Earlier, a poster showing villagers carrying a large wooden crate along a hill trail had also been released.

Sajan Kafle and Akash Baral have jointly directed the film and also written its story and screenplay. This is the duo's second collaboration after 'Behuli from Meghauli.'

Filmed in settlements including Dhital Gaun, Armalakot, Gharmi and Bagar in Kaski, the film stars Sanisha Bhattarai, Rajan Bhusal, Basundhara Bhusal, Ramesh Budhathoki and Prakash Ghimire, among others.
