General secretary Uday Shumsher Rana appeals for Congress unity

Nepali Congress general secretary Uday Shumsher Rana has called on everyone to unite to make the party cohesive.
After the party's 15th General Convention concluded and newly elected president Gagan Kumar Thapa took the oath of office, General Secretary Rana once again congratulated him and wished him a successful tenure.
Rana said making Congress a single, unified force is today's foremost need. He said taking the reform campaign under way within the party to a meaningful conclusion is everyone's shared responsibility, which also includes establishing Congress as a strong political force trusted by the people.
He said he remains fully committed, in his role as general secretary, to making that campaign a success. He stressed that the party must move forward on the basis of mutual trust, cooperation and unity under current circumstances.
Rana said everyone must unite by prioritising the party's interest, the people's expectations and the country's future, adding that collective effort from all is indispensable to making Congress strong.
