Partly cloudy in hills, morning fog in Tarai; light rain, snow likely in Himalayas tomorrow

Fog or mist is forecast to form in parts of the Tarai this morning. The country is currently experiencing a partial effect of westerly winds.

The Himalayan region and the hills of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini will see partly cloudy skies, while weather will remain mostly clear in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim. Light rain or snow is possible at one or two places in the Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali.

Tomorrow, both the Himalayan and hilly regions will see partly cloudy skies. The Tarai areas of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki will also be partly cloudy, while weather will remain mostly clear in the Tarai of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim. Thunder and lightning along with light rain or snow are likely at one or two places in the Himalayan region and the hills of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki.

Among major cities, temperatures are expected to reach 20 degrees Celsius in Janakpur, 19 degrees in Biratnagar and Nepalgunj, 17 degrees in Pokhara, and 13 degrees in Kathmandu and Birendranagar. All six cities have zero percent chance of rain.

Morning fog is expected in Biratnagar, Janakpur and Nepalgunj, while Pokhara and Kathmandu will see partly cloudy skies and Birendranagar will have clear weather.
