Rain and snow likely in some hilly and mountain areas, fog in Tarai tomorrow morning

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, a few places in the mountain region, a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province, and one or two places in the remaining hill areas may see moderate rain or snow today, accompanied by thunder and lightning.

The country currently has partial influence from the westerly winds, while a partial influence from a western low-pressure system is likely to continue until today. The mountain region will remain mostly cloudy and the hill region partly cloudy today.

The Tarai areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim are forecast to be partly cloudy, while the rest of the Tarai will remain mainly clear. Tomorrow, the mountains will remain mostly cloudy and the hills partly cloudy, while some places in the Tarai will see morning mist and fog.

Tomorrow, one or two places in the mountain areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim may see light rain or snow.

Today, Kathmandu's temperature is expected to range from 25 to 27 degrees Celsius, with a 20 percent chance of rain. Pokhara is expected to see 26 to 28 degrees with a 20 percent chance of moderate rain. Birendranagar is expected to see 30 to 32 degrees with a 10 percent chance of light rain. Nepalgunj and Janakpur are expected to reach 33 to 35 degrees with no chance of rain. Biratnagar will see 32 to 34 degrees with mainly clear weather.
