Western wind effect: Rain, snow likely in parts from Gandaki to Sudurpashchim

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's weather forecasting division, the country is currently under the partial effect of westerly winds and local winds. Mountainous and hilly regions currently have partly cloudy skies, while the weather in the Tarai region remains mostly clear.

According to the division, moderate rain and snowfall are likely today in a few mountainous and hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.

Similarly, moderate rain is also forecast in some places in the Tarai region of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.

Meteorologists said light rain is possible today and tomorrow due to the effect of a western low-pressure system. According to them, the weather will turn sunny again from Phulpati.
