Former Congress provincial MP Fakhruddin Khan joins RSP

Fakhruddin Khan, a young Nepali Congress leader and former member of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly, has joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

Khan, elected to the provincial assembly from Rupandehi, had also served as Congress's chief whip in the assembly.

Khan said the political similarities he saw between Congress and RSP were the main reason for switching parties, saying RSP is a party like Congress, which is why he joined it.

His move to RSP has sparked debate in Rupandehi over party alignments and upcoming political activities.
