Rain halts power generation at 70MW Middle Marsyangdi hydropower project

Due to continuous rain, sand and silt have increased along with the water in the Marsyangdi river, forcing the 70-megawatt Middle Marsyangdi Hydropower Project in Lamjung to halt power generation.

The project, located at Dalal in Besisahar Municipality-1, stopped power generation from Saturday afternoon.

After halting production, the project has begun cleaning the sand that has accumulated in both turbines.
