From Sunday, gas cylinders of any brand can be exchanged at 6 locations in the Valley

Gas cylinders of different companies can be exchanged at six locations in Kathmandu Valley starting Sunday, Asoj 25.
The arrangement has been made by the Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, with coordination from the Nepal Oil Corporation and cooperation from the Gas Dealers' Federation.
The service will be available daily from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm through Saturday, Asoj 31.
Exchange points have been designated as follows: Siphalchaur for Everest and Sugam; Pepsicola and Nepal Gate of Balaju Industrial Area for Sagar, Nepal, HP, Geeta, Rajdhani and Triveni; Sukedhara for Baba and Shree; Kalanki for Saibaba and Shree Krishna; and Harisiddhi in Lalitpur for Shree Ram Gas.
No additional fee will be charged for the exchange, but customers must pay the fixed price for the filled cylinder. To prevent misuse, each consumer will be allowed to exchange only one cylinder, and their identity and mobile number will be recorded.
The association said the arrangement was made to ease exchanges since around 58 companies' cylinders are currently in circulation in the market. It added that imports from Indian refineries have been smooth, with about 4.2 million cylinders sold in Bhadau alone.
