‘Art for Humanity’ exhibition raises funds for Bhotekoshi flood victims

The exhibition ‘Art for Humanity’ opened on Tuesday, Asoj 20, at Nepal Lalitkala Pragya Pratishthan to raise support for the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the Bhotekoshi river flood.
The devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi has affected many families and communities. The aim of the exhibition is to raise funds for the Prime Minister's Natural Calamity Relief Fund for their immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation.
According to Chancellor Eriena Tamrakar of the institution, the event has been organised in honour of human responsibility and collective solidarity. According to the institution, 70 percent of the money earned from sales of the artworks will go to the fund. Of the remainder, 10 percent will go to the artists' relief fund and 20 percent to the artist concerned.
The exhibition features works by more than 160 artists, including traditional art, folk art, paintings, sketches, sculpture and ceramics. Artists, art lovers and cultural organisations are taking part in the exhibition.
