Nations League: England and Spain win their matches

England and Spain have both won their matches in Group C of the UEFA Nations League football competition. England defeated Czechia 3–0, while Spain beat Croatia 2–1 on Croatia's home ground.
England took the lead in the 27th minute through an own goal by Czechia's Vladimir Coufal. Captain Harry Kane scored in the 40th minute, giving his team a 2–0 lead at half-time. In the 57th minute of the second half, Kane scored his second goal of the match to make the score 3–0.
In the Spain match, Croatia had gone ahead early. Ivan Perisic scored for Croatia in the 17th minute. Spain's Mikel Merino equalised in the 61st minute. Perisic, who had scored earlier, was then shown a red card in the 79th minute, leaving Croatia with 10 players. Merino scored his second goal of the match in the 88th minute to give Spain the win.
With the win, Spain remain at the top of Group C, while England have climbed to second place.
