Rain stops, sun shines over Ilam's tea gardens

The weather in Ilam has cleared up after several days of continuous rain stopped. Bright sunshine was seen in Ilam's district headquarters and surrounding areas on Saturday.

With sunshine returning after prolonged rain, daily life in Ilam bazaar and its surroundings is gradually returning to normal. The rain-soaked green tea gardens, hills and open sky have made Ilam's scenery look even more attractive.

After the continuous rain had left the environment misty, locals and visitors are now enjoying the clear weather.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it will be mostly cloudy across the country today, with moderate rain with thunder and lightning likely at many places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi province, and heavy rain possible at one or two places. Moderate rain with thunder is also likely at some places in the province's Tarai region.

The department has forecast a 40 percent chance of rain in Biratnagar, Koshi, today, with the temperature remaining around 27 to 29 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow, Koshi province will generally be cloudy, with moderate rain likely at some places in the mountainous and hilly areas, and gusty winds possible at some places in the Tarai region.
