Gold price drops by Rs 5,000 per tola in a single day

Gold prices in the Nepali market fell by Rs 5,000 per tola in a single day on Monday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, gold had risen by Rs 700 on Sunday to reach Rs 299,300, but is now trading at Rs 294,300.

Silver also became cheaper, dropping by Rs 145 per tola. The price of silver, which stood at Rs 4,655 on Sunday, has now fallen to Rs 4,510.

Gold prices, which had been rising for the past few days, have turned downward again as Dashain approaches.
