Indian national held at Tribhuvan airport with 422.5 grams of gold
An Indian national has been arrested with gold at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The person arrested is Aslam Sokat, around 46, from Delhi, India.
He had arrived in Kathmandu from Mumbai on an IndiGo Airlines flight. He was checked after he was seen behaving suspiciously.
Police said that during the search, a yellow metal resembling 422.5 grams of gold was found concealed inside his underwear, wrapped in plastic.
He was arrested along with the recovered substance.
