Sudden rain and snowfall disrupt life in Humla

Daily life in Humla has been disrupted since last night, when sudden rain and snowfall began. Snow is falling in the upper parts of the district, while the lower areas have been experiencing continuous rain.

Areas including Namkha and Simkot have been affected by the rain and snowfall.

Earlier, snowfall had already cut off the Limi and Hilsa areas of Namkha Rural Municipality in the north from the road network. After snow piled up to three and a half feet at Nyalu and Nara lekh, vehicle movement in Limi has been halted since the first week of Asoj.

Residents of these areas, which are cut off from the road network, have to rely on helicopters when they fall sick and need treatment.
