Bensisahar–Chame road reopens after 6 days of blockage

The Bensisahar–Chame road, which had been blocked for six days by floods and landslides, has reopened.
The road resumed operations after landslides and piles of rock and soil that had fallen at Khotro in ward 3 of Nason Rural Municipality and at Koto in ward 5 of Chame Rural Municipality were removed. The blockage had affected the movement of people and transport of goods from Lamjung towards Manang.
With the road back in operation, the transport of food and other daily essentials towards Manang and general movement have become smoother.
Meanwhile, according to the latest information from Nepal Police, the main highways and roads in five districts remain blocked due to floods and landslides. Work to reopen the roads is under way at various locations.
