Dr. Sunil Sharma announces candidacy for Congress general secretary post

Nepali Congress leader Dr. Sunil Sharma has announced his candidacy for the general secretary post at the party's 15th General Convention.

At a press conference held on Saturday at the party office in Sanepa, he made his candidacy for the general secretary post public.

The 15th General Convention of Congress begins on Sunday at Khula Manch in Kathmandu. As part of the preparations, a health desk staffed by 30 health workers has been set up at the convention venue to provide health services to delegates, and two ambulances have been kept on standby.

As the convention approaches, leaders have begun preparing for and announcing candidacies for various party posts. With Dr. Sharma's announcement, he has formally emerged as a contender for the general secretary post.
