Bhutan cricket team arrives in Nepal to prepare for World Cup qualifiers, practice in Pokhara from Monday

Bhutan's national cricket team has arrived in Nepal to prepare for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.

The team landed in Kathmandu on Saturday morning on flight B3-771 from Paro. Gandaki Province Cricket Association secretary Suman Raj Karki welcomed the team in Kathmandu.

Given the current condition of the Kathmandu-Pokhara road, the Bhutanese team will stay in Kathmandu on Saturday. The practice match schedule has been arranged according to the team's arrival and the road conditions.

Bhutan will play four T20 practice matches at Pokhara Cricket Ground starting Monday, Asoj 12. The first two matches will be against Gandaki province's team, Gandaki-XI, and the following two against CAN-XI.

Bhutan is set to take part in the Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A. These competitive matches in Pokhara are expected to help strengthen Bhutan's preparation for the qualifiers.

After the practice matches, the Bhutanese team will depart for Malaysia on Asoj 17.
