Road caves in at Galaudi, Prithvi Highway fully blocked

The Prithvi Highway, which connects the capital Kathmandu to other parts of the country via Muglin, has been completely blocked.
A section of the road caved in at Galaudi in Gajuri Rural Municipality, Dhading, on Friday evening, halting vehicle movement in both directions.
SP Sumit Khadka of the District Police Office, Dhading, confirmed that the road had caved in.
Meanwhile, on Friday afternoon, an Indian gas tanker travelling from Chitwan to Kathmandu overturned near Machhedi, close to Galchhi, causing a gas leak.
The Department of Roads said the team heading to clear the caved-in section was having difficulty reaching Galaudi because of the leak.
Coming just before Dashain, the blockage has directly affected passengers and goods transport travelling to and from the capital.
