4 Cabinet decisions: earthquake catastrophe bond deal with World Bank, cash awards for Asian Games medalists

The Cabinet meeting held on Friday made four decisions. The meeting decided to approve the signing of a mandate agreement with the World Bank on a Nepal Earthquake Catastrophe Bond.
The government also decided to form a committee to ease the process of registering land in the names of citizens who have long resided on 'bitauri' (informally settled) land.
Similarly, Achyut Mani Neupane, deputy attorney general in the Government Attorney Group of the Nepal Judicial Service, has been promoted to the gazetted special class. Neupane, promoted on the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission, has been posted to the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
The meeting also decided to give cash awards to the players, coaches and managers who won medals at the 20th Asian Games held in Aichi, Nagoya, Japan. At that competition, Nepal's women's kabaddi team and karate player Tenzing Sherpa won bronze medals.
