Preparations underway to hold ICC board meeting in Nepal during NPL

Preparations are underway to hold the International Cricket Council's (ICC) upcoming board meeting in Nepal while the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is in progress.
According to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) vice-president Roshan Singh, discussions on this have progressed considerably. He said an official announcement would come soon once a few remaining matters are settled. He said the meeting could be held in the latter half of the league, when few matches remain.
Vice-president Singh said a visit by ICC representatives would benefit both Nepali cricket and the tourism sector. He said the aim was for the ICC's perspective on Nepal to change after directly witnessing the cricketing atmosphere here.
The third edition of the NPL begins on Kartik 9. Preparations are moving rapidly at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur for the tournament. The NPL, which began in 2024, carries the slogan 'Festival of the Himalayas'.
