Woman arrested in Bhairahawa with gold ornaments worth over Rs 2.51 crore

The Armed Police Force recovered gold ornaments worth more than Rs 2.51 crore from the checkpoint at Shantigate, Siddharthanagar Municipality-1, Rupandehi. Ila Patel of Kathmandu was arrested along with the ornaments.
A seven-member team deployed under the command of Armed Police Deputy Superintendent Gopi Krishna Bhattarai of the Armed Police Force's Nepal Border Security Battalion, Danda, Rupandehi, took her into custody around 8 pm on Wednesday night as she was entering Nepal from India.
The Armed Police Force has handed over the arrested woman along with the recovered ornaments to the Customs Office. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
