Domestic and foreign organizations extend financial support for Bhotekoshi flood victims

Domestic and foreign organizations have contributed financially to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to support the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the flood in the Bhotekoshi area.

Honda has said it contributed about $100,000 for Rasuwa flood victims. The company's Asia and Oceania regional headquarters, Asia Honda Motor, sent the amount through the Thai Red Cross Society.

Pernod Ricard has also announced about Rs 5 million for the fund to help people affected by recent natural disasters. The company said the amount would be used to assist disaster-affected families. The company's Nepal-based business development manager, Saurav Bhattarai, expressed solidarity with the Nepali people.

Phidim Municipality has deposited about Rs 4.75 million into the fund. Mayor Mitra Prasad Kafle said the amount was collected from the municipal fund, elected representatives, civil servants and teachers.

Similarly, Magar Sangh America, an organization of the Magar community living in the United States, has deposited about Rs 3.03 million into the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.

The cheque was handed over at a program at the organization's central office in the presence of House of Representatives member Indira Rana Magar and Consul General in New York Dadhiram Bhandari.

Former president of the organization, Kuldeep Rana Magar, said the Sangh's chapters had raised the funds from well-wishers.
