Prithvi Highway: traffic to halt for five hours in Dhading today

Vehicle movement on the Dhading section of the Prithvi Highway will be completely closed for five hours today, Saturday.
According to the District Administration Office, Dhading, no vehicles will be allowed to operate from 10 am to 3 pm.
The flood in the Bhotekoshi had earlier swept away the bridge at Furkekhola in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2.
Since then, vehicles have been using an alternative road via Parewatar, Pipaltar, Adamtar, Belintar and Mastar.
The administration said the closure was necessary because several points along that alternative road require further maintenance work.
The administration has suggested another route for those who need to travel during the closure period.
Accordingly, the road from Dhadingbesi via Sunaula Bazaar, Bhorle, Kosikhola and Phosretar to Kallenritar can be used.
The administration has requested passengers and drivers to plan their journeys only after using this route or other available alternatives.
