Rockfall at Namsi bridge makes Mugling–Narayanghat road one-way

Vehicle movement on the Mugling–Narayanghat road section has been reduced to one-way only after rocks fell onto the Namsi bridge from above.
According to the Road Division, Bharatpur, one side of the road was blocked after rocks began falling onto the bridge on Friday night.
A notice issued by the division states that rocks are still continuing to fall from a mound above the bridge.
The division has urged drivers and passengers travelling through this section, especially at night, to exercise caution.
Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs Federation President Saroj Sitaula said highway travel has become difficult this festival season due to disasters in various areas, including the Bhotekoshi flood.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a partial effect of the monsoon and westerly winds across the country.
Today, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces are likely to be generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain or snow possible in a few places.
The department has also said moderate rain could occur at one or two places in the Tarai areas of Madhesh, Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
The department's forecast indicates partly cloudy conditions in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim, with light rain or snow possible at one or two locations.
