Pokhara University passes budget of over Rs 1.75 billion

Pokhara University's 26th general assembly has unanimously passed a budget of about Rs 1.758 billion, along with its policies and programs, for the current fiscal year 2083/84.
The assembly was held at the university's central office in Dhungepatan, Pokhara-30, chaired by Co-Chancellor and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Devendra Adhikari presented the policies and programs, while Registrar Prof. Dr. Nirmala Jamarkattel presented the budget.
Academic quality, research and innovation, digital transformation, infrastructure, and employment-oriented programs are among the university's priorities for the coming year.
The assembly also decided to amend the university's regulations to restructure the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences into the "Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law."
It also endorsed the expansion of Shramik Shanti Campus in Chyasal, Lalitpur, as a constituent campus of the university.
