Cricket World Cup qualifier play-off set for December, two paths remain for Nepal

Under the qualification process to decide the final four spots for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027, the play-off will be held from December 1 to 22. The venue for the play-off has not yet been made public.
The four teams selected from the play-off will compete in the Global Qualifier. The Global Qualifier will be held in South Africa and Namibia from February 26 to March 21, 2027.
The 10-team Global Qualifier will also include West Indies, Ireland and four teams coming through League 2. Ireland is in the position of needing to play the qualifier based on the ICC ODI rankings as of September 30.
Teams finishing in the top four of the Global Qualifier will earn a place at the World Cup. Co-hosts South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia have already secured their World Cup berths. Besides them, eight teams including India and New Zealand have already been selected based on rankings.
