Cloudy across the country, 100 mm rain in Kailali; rain likely today and tomorrow

Most parts of the country are under the partial influence of westerly and monsoon winds. All of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, and the western part of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, are under the influence of westerly winds. All of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces, and the eastern part of Gandaki and Lumbini, are under the influence of monsoon winds.

Rain fell in most places from Bagmati Province westward last night. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Kailali recorded the highest rainfall in the past 12 hours, at 100 millimetres. Heavy rain was recorded in Kailali, Bardiya and Dang.

The monsoon has begun to withdraw from Nepal, but rain activity has increased. Meteorologists say there is a possibility of rain both today and tomorrow.

The country will remain cloudy, with a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in some places. Rain and snowfall are also possible in some provinces.
