Rain and snowfall likely in four provinces today; heavy rain possible at many places on Monday and Tuesday

Rain and snowfall are likely in the mountainous and hilly parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain may fall in a few places in these four provinces. Cloudy skies are expected in hilly areas.

Rain is set to become active again from tomorrow, Sunday, with a possibility of heavy rain for two days. Heavy rain is forecast at many places across the country on Monday and Tuesday.

Due to weak westerlies, a low-pressure trough is forming near Nepal along with upper-level air flow, and its effects are expected to be active regularly. This is why the weather system is about to become active again.
