Saroj Bhattarai's debut book 'Kalegi Prem' launched

Writer Saroj Bhattarai's first book, 'Kalegi Prem', was launched at a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Monday.

The programme was held under the chief guestship of Inspector General of Police Danbahadur Karki. Nabil Bank Chief Executive Officer Manoj Gyawali and writer and Nepal Academy Vice-Chancellor Kumar Nagarkoti attended as special guests.

Book reviewers Deepshikha Ghimire and Nabin Khatri, who were invited for the occasion, presented their respective views and perspectives on 'Kalegi Prem'.

The book's central themes are love, relationships, society and human emotion. Writer Bhattarai has also expressed heartfelt affection for his homeland and a sense of patriotism in the book.

Speaking at the ceremony, he said 'Kalegi Prem' is not confined to a love story alone. According to him, the work is a literary attempt to weave feelings about society, life and the nation into a single emotional journey.

Chief guest IGP Karki said the stories and ideas covered in the book resonate with the lives of many young people who are trying to build their own identity while staying in the country.
