Action to be taken against overcharging during Dashain, warns transport entrepreneurs' federation

The Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs' Federation has urged all concerned not to charge more than the fixed fare for vehicles during the festival season.
According to federation General Secretary Dekanath Gautam, action will be taken against vehicles that charge more than the fare set by the government. The federation issued this appeal as passenger traffic is set to rise with people heading home ahead of Dashain.
The appeal comes as advance ticket booking for Dashain is about to open. The federation says the fare rates fixed by the government during festivals must be followed.
The federation has cautioned all concerned parties that action will be taken against anyone violating the fare-related rules.
