Chief ministers of all seven provinces to meet in Biratnagar on Asoj 22-23

A conference of chief ministers from all seven provinces will be held in Biratnagar on Asoj 22 and 23, organized by the Koshi Province government.

The conference will discuss challenges in implementing federalism, good practices adopted by the provinces, and coordination among the federal, provincial and local levels. Inter-provincial cooperation and multi-province partnerships are also on the agenda.

Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki said the conference aims to identify common problems facing the provinces and chart a path toward economic prosperity and good governance. He said another objective is to increase mutual coordination among provinces to solve problems, and he also raised the issue of exchanging inter-provincial trade and production.

Preparation and coordination for the conference has been assigned to the Koshi Province Planning Commission. According to Mohan Suvedi, economic advisor to the chief minister, coordination has already been carried out with the chief ministers of all seven provinces.
