Finance Minister Wagle departs for Qatar to attend AIIB's 11th annual meeting

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle departed for Qatar on Saturday evening to attend the 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

According to his secretariat, Minister Wagle departed for Doha, the capital of Qatar, on a regular Qatar Airways flight at 7pm on Saturday evening.

He traveled to Doha to attend the AIIB's 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, which is being held in the city.

The AIIB is a multilateral financial institution that invests in infrastructure development across the Asian region, and Nepal is a member country. Representatives of member countries will take part in the meeting.

Finance Minister Wagle had welcomed Prime Minister Balendra Shah at Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday when the prime minister returned home after attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
