One month of Pokhara-Dubai flights: over 6,000 passengers

About 6,400 passengers have used Flydubai's regular Pokhara-Dubai flights in the one month since the service began.
The company started the flights from Pokhara International Airport on Asoj 7. According to Jagannath Niraula, general manager of the airport's Civil Aviation Office, around 30 flights have operated over the month, carrying about 4,500 passengers from Dubai and about 1,800 from Pokhara.
The number of passengers flying out of Pokhara is thus less than half of those arriving from Dubai. Niraula said passenger numbers rose on both sides because of Dasain and Tihar, and that the first month has been encouraging.
He expressed confidence that, with coordinated promotion by government and private sectors, the flight could become regular and sustainable in the long run. Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya has stressed the need to increase the number of passengers flying from Pokhara to Dubai. He said ticket bookings have been opened through October 2027 to ensure the flight's continuity.
