U-19 women's cricket team to play two international tournaments ahead of World Cup

Nepal's U-19 women's cricket team will take part in two international tournaments as preparation for the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) secretary Paras Khadka shared the information in a press release issued on Friday.

According to the release, the team will first play in the Belt and Road U-19 Girls T20I tournament in China from November 3 to 8.

Four teams -- host China, Nepal, Thailand and Hong Kong -- will take part in that tournament.

The Nepali team will then travel to Bengaluru, India, for a tri-nation series from November 10 to 22.

CAN said Nepal will compete alongside India's U-19 women's 'A' and 'B' teams in that series.

The ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup is scheduled for January and February 2027, and a published schedule shows some of its matches will be held at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Before that, the Nepal Premier League will be held at the same venue from Kartik 9 to Mangsir 5.

The schedule also includes the ICC men's World Cup qualifier play-off and a Nepal-Bangladesh T20 series at the same ground.
