As weather clears, tourist activities resume in Pokhara, sending message that tourism sector is open

Tourist arrivals in Pokhara had come to a near standstill due to the Bhotekoshi flood, continuous rainfall and road obstructions. With Pokhara, the country's tourism capital, having turned deserted in the absence of domestic and foreign tourists, the city has sent out a message that the tourism sector remains open and ready to welcome visitors.

With the weather in Pokhara clearing after four consecutive days of rain, tourist activities have started resuming.

After the weather turned clear, tourist activities including mountain range viewing and boating on Phewa Lake took place in Pokhara on Monday.

The number of tourists travelling to and from Pokhara had declined as various roads were blocked due to rain and floods/landslides.
