Partly cloudy across the country today, light rain likely in Koshi and Bagmati's mountain and hill areas

The weather will be partly cloudy across the country today due to the partial effect of the monsoon and westerly winds. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon's low-pressure trough currently lies around its average position.

According to the division, there is a possibility of light rain or snow at a few places in the mountain and hill regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. In the Tarai, however, the weather is forecast to remain mostly clear.

After the rain that had continued since last Wednesday stopped from Sunday night, the weather has cleared in most places since Monday morning. Since then, it has not rained anywhere except at a few scattered places.

The weather currently remains clear in most parts of the country.
