Congress vote count: Chandra Kanta Bhandari leads for vice-president, Pradip Paudel for general secretary

Vote counting for the posts of vice-president and general secretary under Nepali Congress's 15th general convention is underway at the central office in Sanepa. Despite counting continuing through the night, the pace has remained slow.
As of 6:23 am Sunday, 1,229 ballots had been counted, of which 5 votes were invalid.
In the election for the two open vice-president seats, Dr. Chandra Kanta Bhandari has taken a commanding lead. According to Khabarhub, Bhandari has received 643 votes and Madhu Acharya 362 votes.
For the two open general secretary seats, Pradip Paudel and Amar Singh Pun Magar are ahead. For the women's general secretary seat, Dr. Dila Sangraula (Pant) has taken the lead.
