RNGC Birthday Cup golf: Azzar Simha and Anwadya Malla win

Azzar Simha won the men's title and Anwadya Malla the women's title at a golf tournament held at the Royal Nepal Golf Club in Kathmandu.

The tournament, named the Carlsberg Golf Classic and RNGC Birthday Cup, was organized to mark the club's 109th anniversary, hosted by Gorkha Brewery through its Carlsberg brand.

Amateur golfers from various parts of the country took part in the two-day competition held on Asoj 23 and 24.

In the men's category, Suraj Shrestha finished runner-up. In the women's category, Samjhana Khatri finished runner-up. In the senior men's category, Yuvraj Gurung won, with Ravindra Man Shrestha as runner-up.

At the closing prize distribution ceremony, players with outstanding performances in various categories were honored. The tournament was held with the aim of honoring the historic tradition of Nepali golf and promoting sportsmanship and mutual goodwill. Gorkha Brewery has been carrying out activities to promote Nepali sports and athletes through its Carlsberg brand, and the tournament is also linked to the promotion of golf in Nepal and cooperation with the private sector.
