Galaundi road reopens, only stranded vehicles allowed through for now

The road at Galaundi near Gajuri in Dhading under the Prithvi Highway, which had been closed since Friday evening, has reopened. For now, only vehicles that were stranded on the road are being allowed to move.

The road will come into full operation only after this afternoon.

Thousands of passengers who had set out on their journey on Friday, hoping to reach home, were forced to spend two nights on the road while it was closed. Passengers heading out to meet their families ahead of Dashain, as well as vehicles carrying patients, were also stranded on the road.
