Cheap internet packages to end from Monday

Internet Service Providers' Association Nepal has announced that it will no longer offer low-cost, low-speed internet packages.

According to a press release issued by the association on Friday, the new arrangement will take effect from next Monday, Asoj 19, 2083.

Member companies have so far been providing customers with low-speed service at low rates. The association says that as operating costs have continuously risen, it has become impossible to sustain those packages.

From Monday, customers who have been using such packages will have to switch to higher-speed packages.

As the burden of rising costs is shifted onto customers, concerns have been raised that consumers will be forced to buy more expensive packages and could end up worse off.
